We are seeking a mid-level communications practitioner to join our communications and events team.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of Māori worldview concepts and be able to apply these to their work. You will partner with the Health Quality & Safety Commission's pou tikanga (Māori cultural advisor) on communications team activities.

You will lead our media management, and provide support to the team on other communications tasks, including drafting articles, website management, the accessibility charter, development of videos, editing and proofreading.

You will be joining a small but extremely busy (and fun!) communications team, and will have the opportunity to be mentored by senior communications practitioners.

This is an exciting position in an organisation with a big work programme and a strong commitment to improving health quality and safety.

The Commission is a stand-alone Crown entity with a board responsible to the Minister of Health. We assist providers across the whole health and disability sector, both private and public, to improve service quality and safety and therefore outcomes for all in Aotearoa New Zealand.
