The role of a Kaiāwhina is to assist Kaiako in delivering our Te Reo Māori programme in a proactive, supportive whānau based environment. This role also assists the Kaiako in preparing resources and classrooms, monitoring student attendance, general administration task and student recruitment. 

The role also comes with the exciting challenge of delivering online teaching as a result of the current Covid-19 situation. 

Applicants will hold the following qualifications and experience:

  • A Mātauranga Maori qualification (Level 4 or higher)
  • Be able to converse in Te Reo Māori
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of Tikanga Māori
  • At least one years’ experience in a similar role 
  • A full drivers licence is also required

The ideal applicant will be available to work evenings some days and weekends.
