The Āti Awa Toa Hauora Partnership Board (the Poari) is seeking a researcher who is committed to improving Māori health and wellbeing outcomes to come and join our team.

The Poari represents iwi and Māori communities across Te Upoko o te Ika rohe, extending from the Kāpiti Coast to Porirua, Pōneke and Te Awa Kairangi and includes mana whenua representation from Ngāti Toa Rangatira; Te Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai; and  Te Āti Awa ki te Upoko o te Ika a Māui.

Working under the guidance of the Pou Rangahau - Reo Whānau, this newly created role joins a collaborative team focused on collecting the voices of whānau to inform the development and commissioning of health services that are relevant and effective for whānau Māori across our rohe. 

We are looking for someone with excellent evaluation and data collection skills, with an understanding of mātauranga Māori-based research methodologies. You will have exceptional relationship-building skills as you work across a diverse range of stakeholders, including whānau Māori across our rohe.

You will have the opportunity to lead our Rongoā Māori project, providing insights and recommendations based on your research, as well as support a number of other interesting and exciting research projects the team are undertaking.
