Accounts Payable – Payroll Officer

Raukawa Whānau Ora is seeking a motivated and detail driven Accounts Payable – Payroll Officer to support our financial operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our staff are paid accurately and on time, and that our financial commitments are met with precision and integrity.
About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of accounts payable, supporting financial processes, and processing payroll for all staff. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes
- Enter and reconcile invoices using Xero
- Process weekly payroll
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records
- Ensure timely supplier payments and maintain relationships
- Support monthly financial reporting
- Assist with cash flow monitoring and financial administration
- Support compliance with IRD, ACC, and KiwiSaver obligations
About You
You are organised, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced finance environment. You bring strong attention to detail and enjoy working collaboratively.
You will have:
- Proven experience in accounts payable and/or payroll
- Knowledge of New Zealand financial practices, including GST and tax requirements
- Experience using Xero (essential) and payroll systems (e.g. iPayroll desirable)
- Strong reconciliation and numerical accuracy skills
- Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
