The team also fulfils Council's regulatory responsibilities as the Road Controlling Authority.

We're looking for a permanent full-time Transport Engineer Assistant to join our Traffic and Resolutions team. This is an entry-level opportunity and does not require an engineering degree. The team thrives on taking on challenges, learning quickly, and improving our processes constantly. You will utilise AutoCAD, Fresh Service Customer Enquiry System, RAMM and CAS - don't worry, we can teach you these!

A quick snapshot of your day:

  • Create simple, but accurate plans to clearly demonstrate the nature of the proposed works being undertaken
  • Prepare delegate authority reports and plans to be approved by the Engineering and Operations Manager
