Training Solutions Developer

As part of this mission, we’re looking for a Training Solutions Developer to join their Qualifications Group and help shape high‑quality vocational education that meets industry needs.
In this role, you’ll lead the engagement, development and review of MITO’s training solutions, ensuring they are fit for purpose, industry‑informed and aligned with NZQA requirements. You will project manage the full development lifecycle and oversee consultation processes to ensure training solutions reflect industry needs and expectations.
You’ll work closely with industry groups, internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure their programmes reflect current and emerging workforce needs. You’ll also facilitate Industry Reference Group meetings, contribute to business cases for new qualifications and micro‑credentials, and provide insights on national and international programme development trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and review of MITO training solutions
- Facilitate and document Industry Reference Group meetings
- Manage consultation processes with industry and stakeholders
- Contribute to business cases for new qualifications and credentials
- Analyse programme development trends and report on impacts
- Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to cross‑functional projects and MITO’s annual business plan
- Ensure compliance with NZQA, the Education and Training Act, and organisational policies
What You’ll Bring
- exceptional effective relationship and engagement skills
- Experience working with competency‑based assessment (ideally unit standards)
- Strong project management capability
- In‑depth knowledge of the NZ Qualifications Framework and work‑based training
- Experience facilitating or working with industry groups
- Strong research, data analysis and report‑writing skills
- Ability to build and manage extensive networks
