KidsCan Charitable Trust is looking for an exceptional Content & Communications Manager to join the team and help amplify their mission.

As the Content & Communications Manager, you’ll lead the creation of impactful content that brings KidsCan’s work to life. From crafting compelling stories about the children and communities they support, to managing integrated communications campaigns, this role is at the heart of their storytelling efforts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Communication: Plan and execute communications strategies for major projects, campaigns, and organisational announcements.
  • Storytelling: Craft powerful impact stories that inspire action, including newsletters, social media posts, website copy, and video content.
  • Content Creation: Develop engaging copy fit for various channels while supporting video production through storyboarding and messaging.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with fundraising, partnerships, and programmes teams to align goals with effective storytelling.
  • Leadership: Manage and mentor your direct report, providing clear guidance on briefs, deadlines, tone of voice, and brand alignment.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong connections with partner schools and early childhood centres to develop authentic stories that reflect KidsCan’s impact.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in fundraising storytelling, communications, or journalism.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a portfolio showcasing published work in PR or communications.
  • Expertise in creating content tailored for different channels (social media, websites, long-form).
  • A values-driven approach with a passion for making a difference for children in need.
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience in video editing or videography is a plus!
  • High attention to detail, empathy, creativity, and initiative.
