Āu ake mahi - What you'll do
We're looking for three people who are passionate about netball to join us as Netball Umpires at our Tawa Recreation Centre. This is a customer-centric role that will work directly with the Pōneke community and we're looking for someone who will provide a happy, positive experience for our netballers. We run two social women's netball leagues, outdoor rules played indoors.
Our Umpires' responsibilities include the following:
- Helping set up and prepare for netball games
- Greeting members of the league as they arrive and leave for their games
- Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of netball players
- Assisting with clearing up netball games at the end of the game
Our leagues are held on Monday (6.15pm to 10pm) and Wednesday (5.45pm to 10.15pm) nights and we are looking for people who are available during these specified hours. Specific hours for each Umpire will be confirmed by the hiring manager at interview stage.
Ngā tohu me ngā wheako - Qualifications and experience
We're looking for someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and help the team out as required. Ideally, you will have experience refereeing leagues from teens to adults, be proficient in controlling the game, and have the confidence to manage player queries. You will have a strong knowledge of outdoor netball.
This role pays $28.95 per game.

Pre-employment Checks
