We are seeking a values-driven General Manager with strong financial expertise and a deep respect for tikanga Māori to lead our operations, drive commercial growth, and uphold our cultural integrity. Whether you are Māori or non-Māori, what matters most is your understanding of our values, your commitment to our vision, and ability to deliver results in a kaupapa Māori environment.

Ngā Kawenga Matua - Key Responsibilities
As General Manager, you will:
- Lead the strategic, commercial, and operational direction of the Incorporation.
- Develop and implement a three-year strategic plan in collaboration with the Committee of Management and stakeholders.
- Identify and assess new business opportunities, particularly in horticulture and sustainable enterprise.
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, reporting, and investment decisions.
- Build a high-performing, culturally grounded team and organisational culture.
- Ensure operational excellence across farming, forestry, and apiculture.
- Represent Pārengarenga Incorporation with mana among shareholders, iwi, hapū, business partners, and government.
- Uphold compliance with legal, environmental, and governance standards.
- Champion Pārengarenga’s vision, values, and intergenerational legacy.
Ngā pūkenga e hiahiatia ana | What you’ll bring to the role
- Proven executive leadership experience (CEO or GM level), ideally in primary industries such as farming or forestry.
- Strong financial knowledge and commercial judgement.
- A collaborative, people-first leadership style grounded in integrity and humility.
- Experience delivering business growth and operational excellence.
- Outstanding relationship-building and communication skills.
- Respect for tikanga Māori and a genuine connection to kaupapa Māori values.
- Te reo Māori proficiency is a bonus, but not essential.
