Ngāti Manuhiri Settlement Trust (NMST) is a post settlement governance entity, PSGE Māori organisation dedicated to delivering outcomes for the iwi through governance, environmental stewardship, cultural revitalisation, and economic development. Guided by Ngāti Manuhiri tikanga, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and grounded in manaakitanga and kaitiakitanga, they work to strengthen relationships with whānau, hapū, and the wider community.

The purpose of the Ngāti Manuhiri Settlement Trust is to receive, administer, manage, protect and govern the Trust’s assets to ensure the cultural, commercial and social development of Ngāti Manuhiri for the benefit of its members.

Āpiha Whakarite | Senior Administrator - Reference - NM101

The Senior Administrator will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the NMST. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth function of governance processes, maintaining internal systems, and overseeing key NMST activities, including HR policies, grants administration, and strategic planning support.

Key Responsibilities and skills/experience required:

  • Provide governance and operational administrative support, including minute-taking and agenda preparation.
  • Manage HR policies, onboarding, and compliance documentation.
  • Oversee internal membership databases and grant application processes.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and assist with strategic projects.
  • Experience in HR, employee related matters, policy development, or governance support is preferred.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and digital administrative tools.
  • Proficiency in using and maintaining membership databases or CRM systems, such as Youriwi.com or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn Māori data platforms like Te Whata and an understanding of data sovereignty principles.
  • Knowledge of tikanga Māori and some proficiency in Te Reo Māori (essential).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Experience coordinating funding and grant-related processes is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
