We have a full-time opportunity for an administrator to provide administrative support to the Forensic team, based at our Kenepuru Science Centre in Porirua, Wellington. This role will require flexibility and commitment to be working between 8:00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.  

In this role you will be involved in: 

  • Receipt, processing, return and transfer of exhibits for laboratory submissions,
  • Providing timely and accurate data entry and support management services, Ensuring excellent customer and client services for internal and external groups,
  • Document management, formatting, and record keeping,
  • Provision of general administration support to the business unit as required.
  • Support the team with ordering and travel arrangements
  • Greeting visitors and customers to the centre.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Previous experience in an administrative or front-facing reception role,
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills,
  • Competence in the use of computers, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database packages,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting with a wide range to stakeholders,
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to plan, organise and make effective use of time to achieve key tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
