Mō te Pakihi | About the Company:

This mana whenua-owned consultancy works across social, economic, environmental, and cultural sectors to enhance outcomes for their communities. Owned by five rūnaka of Kāi Tahu and serving the wider Otago region, they deliver services that uplift whānau and protect their taoka.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and visionary leader to guide a kaupapa Māori organisation with deep relationships across iwi, government, and industry. You’ll lead strategy, business development, oversee operations and finances, and champion the Aukaha vision of connection, sustainability and intergenerational wellbeing.

We’re looking for someone who brings not only strong leaderships, commercial depth, financial knowledge and business development competence, but also a deep commitment to tikanga Māori, kaitiakitanga, and working in partnership with mana whenua. Your experience with iwi, Māori development or Treaty-based relationships will be highly valued.

Mōu | About You:

You will inspire and support the talented team, ensure organisational excellence, and represent Aukaha with integrity and purpose. You will also play a key part in weaving together the threads of their mahi — binding people, place and purpose.

If you are passionate about leading positive change for Māori and the community, we encourage you to step forward.

Kia kaha, au kaha – let’s walk forward together.
