Tupu Tonu is an independent Crown-owned investment company, whose purpose is to establish and manage an investment portfolio which is intended to support any future commercial agreements between Ngāpuhi and the Crown in historical Tiriti o Waitangi settlement negotiations. They are seeking a part-time Finance Administrator to support their finance function in managing accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations and fund reporting.

He aha te tūranga - About the role

As Finance Administrator, you’ll support the Finance Manager with the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and reporting. You'll also help maintain supplier and tenant financial records and contribute to process improvements that support the integrity of our fund and asset performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and code accounts payable using Dext and Xero.
  • Manage invoice approvals in ApprovalMax.
  • Set up and verify supplier accounts and payment details.
  • Prepare ASB batch payments and reconcile bank/credit card accounts.
  • Support invoicing processes, including kiwifruit and tenant billing.
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations and financial reports.
  • Process expense claims.
  • Support fund and asset performance record keeping and implementation. 
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in financial processes.

  • Experience in finance administration or bookkeeping.
  • Is confident using systems like Xero, Dext, and ApprovalMax.
  • Is reliable, detail-focused, and efficient.
  • Thrives working independently and is self-managing.

Location: Central Wellington (some remote flexibility may be possible)
