Starting salary: $89,432 - $110,000 + Superannuation

The role | Te tūnga
Our Security team sits within the Technology Services organisational unit. We are a close-knit team that enjoys having fun while providing trusted and valued advice to our people and leadership on security risk for Stats NZ.
In the Security Consultant position you will provide administrative and procedural security support around our organisation's IT. You will also work in all other realms of security, including physical and personnel.
Ideally you will have knowledge around information security within a medium to large organisation. If you have potential, we will teach you. So, regardless of education, you must be ready to learn.
You must be motivated to learn constantly and smart enough to work with people to get stuff done.
We are looking for motivated individual with:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or experience.
- Have a basic understanding of risk management.
- Understanding of the "Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA)".
- Ability to communicate clearly and in plain English to a variety of audiences
- A positive, 'can-do' attitude and an enthusiasm for learning.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships.
- Knowledge/familiarity or a commitment to learn/understand a Te Ao Māori worldview, and the importance of a treaty-based partnership approach to policy.
