Ngā Kura ā Iwi o Aotearoa is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused individual to support our Private Training Establishment (Te Whare Mairanga) as Kaitaunaki Mairanga. This is a pivotal support role for the successful delivery of our NZQA-approved qualifications and the continued development of our kaupapa Māori learning environment.
You will work closely with Pou Mairanga to coordinate enrolments, ensure compliance documentation is accurate and timely, provide administrative support for both online and ā-tinana programme delivery, and help manage the quality systems and communications that support uri on their journey. Your ability to juggle tasks, uphold high standards, and support others across a kaupapa Māori space will be crucial.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support programme delivery through high-quality administration, planning, and coordination.
- Manage enrolment processes and communications, from EOI to welcome.
- Maintain accurate student records and fee tracking, and ensure documentation aligns with NZQA expectations.
- Coordinate hui and wānanga logistics, travel, catering, comms, and digital follow-up.
- Assist with quality assurance systems, moderation records, and internal review processes.
- Provide admin support within SELMA, our student management system.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Fluency in Te Reo Māori: Proficiency in Te Reo Māori is crucial, as all meetings and reports are predominantly conducted in Te Reo.
- Strong understanding of tertiary administration systems and NZQA compliance requirements.
- Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple responsibilities, and ensure timely completion of projects and administrative duties.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports, concise meeting minutes, and professional correspondence.
- Proficiency in Digital Tools: Expertise in using digital platforms and software for administrative tasks, document management, and virtual collaboration, ensuring efficient and effective use of technology.
- Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Meticulous attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring accuracy in documentation, financial processes, and event logistics.
