Starting salary: $ 101,477 - $ 119,543 + superannuation

The role | Te tūnga   

As a PMO Lead, you will play a key leadership role in driving programme coordination, governance, and oversight, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. You will provide critical coordination and support activities, lead the implementation of best practices, enforce programme standards, and support decision-making at a senior level. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Programme Director and Project and Programme Managers, ensuring programme controls, reporting, and quality assurance are effectively maintained. 

This role would suit someone who can: 

  • Demonstrate 7-10 years' experience in project management and/or senior coordination services within a large-scale programme environment. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using MS Project and Azure Dev Ops (ADO). 
  • Set up and maintain programme and project controls. 
  • Provide leadership and oversight through the planning, delivery, and review phases of programmes. 
  • Lead coordination tasks including scheduling, risk and issue workshops, and quality control of project artefacts. 
  • Draft and manage programme reporting, organise meetings, and oversee programme finances. 
  • Maintain situational awareness on the status and progress of programmes and projects. 
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders. 
  • Champion continuous improvement and share knowledge with wider teams. 
  • Support Programme Directors in establishing appropriate programme governance and developing key programme artefacts. 
  • Coordinate and manage time, cost, quality, and scope to ensure effective programme delivery. 
  • Collaborate closely with Programme Director to manage risks and issues. 
  • Lead the coordination and development of programme status reports and governance materials. 
  • Ensure all programme information and documents are managed accurately and effectively. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems impacting programmes. 
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and management of external providers. 
  • Demonstrate a willingness to upskill and increase your cultural capability.
