Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation and efficient coordination of various tasks associated with the outcomes of Te Toi Waka Whakarei (Māori Relationships Strategy). This role supports the Toi Kotuia team by coordinating the team's work, facilitating effective communication, organising team meetings and ensuring the effective execution of engagement activities. You'll help build relationships with iwi and hapū and ensure our initiatives are culturally respectful, align with community needs and successfully implemented. You'll be the glue that keeps this team together!
Ko wai koe | About you
Ideally you will
- Have a Diploma or Certificate qualification in a related field
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role or have worked with Iwi/Hapū or Māori organisations previously
- Have a demonstrated understanding of Te Ao Māori me ona tikanga
- Be proficient in the Microsoft Office programmes and databases.
- Have excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Be solution focused
- Have the ability to build and maintain relationships
- Have the ability to drive and influence decisions
