Ki Te Wheiao seek a Kaiwhakangāwari to join its Tēnei Au Wānanga. The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of kaupapa Māori wānanga.

Ki Te Wheiao is a Kaupapa Māori service based in Heretaunga. We provide programmes for the Tāne and facilitate change.  We provide Clinical and Cultural Supervision for the staff.

The Kaiwhakangāwari will support Tāne in achieving their goals and aspirations of oranga.  We believe this can be achieved by developing connectivity to themselves, their whānau, hapu and iwi. 

Specifically, these responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining a Kaupapa Māori learning environment.
  • Being familiar with Kaupapa Māori frameworks and pūrā
  • The ability to co-facilitate groupwork and deliver Māori principles and concepts.
  • Being attentive with the ability to track progress.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be successful in completing a Police Vetting process.
  • Have strong personal and professional boundaries.
  • Have good self-awareness.
