Taumata Arowai is the water services regulator for Aotearoa New Zealand. It is a Crown entity governed by a Minister-appointed Board and advised on Māori interests and knowledge by Te Puna, a statutory Māori Advisory Group. Our responsibilities are to protect and promote drinking water safety and related public health outcomes - we regulate drinking water suppliers on behalf of the public. We also have an oversight role in relation to the environmental performance of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater networks.

Job Description

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role 

We’re seeking two enthusiastic Technology Analysts to join our small and friendly ICT team.  

This is a hands-on role in which you’ll be building collaborative relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders to support the delivery of our technology work programme.  

Our Technology Analysts will: 

  • Deliver the help-desk function using our Zoho ticketing system 
  • Take a customer-centric approach, ensuring translation of technical terms to various people 
  • Support, or lead, the delivery of technology projects when required
  • Enjoy working within a collaborative team

We are looking for someone with:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • A broad, general technology skill set 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • The ability to take a security and risk conscious approach
