Are you someone who has a few hours a week and wants to give back to the next generation?
In this influential part-time casual contracted role, you will support Pasifika learners through their trade training journey.
We need you, if you can inspire and encourage our apprentices through empowering their confidence as you guide their progress toward a brighter future as a qualified automotive professional in their field.
MITO supports on-job learning and career development for the automotive, commercial road transport, extractives, gas and logistics industries.
We work with learners, their employers and training providers, to ensure people get the best possible opportunities to learn and advance their career, while developing a skilled workforce for the industries we serve.
We’d like to hear from candidates with the following:
- Experience in mentoring and sharing your own trade training journey to inspire others
- Able to build trust and strong working relationships with our learners and employers
- Listen with empathy, and communicate clearly and effectively
- A comprehensive understanding of Pacific culture, values and customs
- The passion for supporting Pasifika learners to achieve their qualifications and career goals
- The right to live and work in New Zealand.
Being trade qualified and having completed a New Zealand apprenticeship is an advantage. For all other elements of this role, training will be provided.
This is a highly rewarding part-time casual role that is part of our extended mentoring programme.
