Are you awesome at:
Using your union organising skills to work with members online and offline
Identifying, coaching and engaging with union members
Understanding the professional and industrial interests of student and new educator members
Tasks are varied and include:
Facilitate a national project group to ensure student and new educators needs are embedded in regional and national union activities
Creating member journeys and identifying resources that are needed for implementation
Working with members to plan and run their annual activist hui
Maintaining relationships with nationwide Initial Teacher Education providers
In this role you will be advocating for the interests of students and new educator members through creation of nationwide organising plans. You will identify leaders within this group and ensure that they receive purposeful development to grow them in their unionism. With responsibility for nationwide engagement you will use online organising strategies in digital spaces to communicate with members.
You will also be responsible for the regional organising of student and new educator members in your base area so some travel is required.
