We are looking for a self-motivated leader with a can-do attitude to support and guide a team of Programme Facilitators to deliver high quality rehabilitation programmes to those in our care across the motu.
You will need to be passionate and creative, with exceptional communication skills, and have the tenacity and resilience to network widely, building strong relationships along your way.
This is a unique opportunity to enter Ara Poutama for the first time, move across the Department, or enter your first management role as you will be supported by a strong team of fellow Principal Facilitators that will be able to teach you all about the programmes space.
You will be accountable for the development and support of your team and will work innovatively with stakeholders to work through operational problems as they arise. To ensure the continuous improvement and effectiveness of programmes, as a Principal Facilitator you will identify risks, practice issues, and utilise decision making frameworks effectively.

To be successful in this challenging and rewarding role you will have the following:
- Proven experience in the development and effective management of a service delivery plan.
- Strong leadership skills, including the coaching, mentoring and performance management of others.
- Exceptional relationship management skills with demonstrated experience in working with key agencies, both governmental and non-governmental, in the social/justice sectors.
- Be knowledgeable in Māori culture and protocols and be able to support staff in bi-cultural practice, operating effectively in a Māori culture setting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must!

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The full salary range is $105,908 - $122,873. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
