Change Manager

City Consenting and Compliance unit are living one of the councils' values Whakapai ake - We're always improving and is seeking an influential and engaging Change Manager to join us with planned improvement projects and initiatives.
City Consenting and Compliance is the main statutory and regulatory unit of the Council. Our core business is processing and monitoring various types of applications for permissions and inspections. We ensure the appropriate use of land, the integrity of buildings and to maintain public health and safety.
You will be responsible for undertaking assessments to gain insight of the change impacts of each project. You will develop and implement change management strategies to ensure all affected team are well prepared for the transition to new ways of working. Your initial project will be to assist with the replacement of a key system which has come to end of life. GoGet, the Building Consenting and Compliance workflow tool that underpins a critical responsibility of the council.
You will be responsible for undertaking assessments to gain an in-depth understanding of the change impacts of each project. Develop and implementation of change management strategies to make sure all affected areas are well prepared for the transition to new way/s of working.
To be successful for this role you will:
- Hold a degree preferably in education or management.
- Have up to 10 years' experience in learning development or change management. With Experience in:
- stakeholder change impact analysis and relationship management
- planning, developing, and executing change management strategies
- change resistance and developing plans to maximise change adoption
- Build strong working relationship and communicate effectively to influence and consult with key stakeholders.
- Have excellent communcaiton skills and be comfortable presenting and facilitating meetings and workshops.
- Ideally have worked in centre or local government previously but not necessary.
We are looking to appoint between $114,150 - $134,294 per annum, for this role, depending on relevant skills and experience.
