About Te Rau Ora
Te Rau Ora is a national centre dedicated to Māori Health and Wellbeing in Aotearoa. Our vision is a future where whānau thrive, are self-determined, and well. We're driven by the goal of building a Māori workforce that leads the design and delivery of health services across Aotearoa, improving outcomes for Māori. With a foundation in tikanga Māori and guided by Mātauranga Māori, Te Rau Ora has a presence nationwide, with offices in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton), Pōneke (Wellington), and Ōtepoti (Dunedin).
About Education and Training Group
Our Education and Training Group is a newly formed team focused on creating and delivering workforce and tertiary education programs centered around health and well-being. This rōpū includes Te Whare Whakangungu, Te Rau Matatau, Rangatahi Ora, and the Centre for Māori Suicide Prevention.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a dedicated Rangatahi Ora Ambassdor to join us on a fixed-term basis. In this role, you’ll be supporting the Rangatahi Ora Kaupapa by developing initiatives and building awareness among young Māori leaders. This position is essential for driving the project forward, ensuring that our team meets its objectives and has a lasting impact on rangatahi Māori across Aotearoa.
Your Role:
- Champion and support rangatahi to develop their leadership skills and make meaningful contributions.
- Work closely with the Rangatahi Ora team and other rōpū to achieve our shared goals.
- Create spaces for rangatahi to lead, share ideas, and connect with other young Māori.

Hours: Fixed-term, part-time (30 hours per week).
Location: Based in Kirikiriroa, or remote-based options available
