The Polynesian Health Corridors (PHC) team supports Polynesian countries through a range of modalities. In addition to directly assisting countries in some areas, the PHC team also contracts partners/suppliers for technical assistance, acts as a knowledge hub, supports mentoring and facilitates connections.
About the role
The Programme Management pillar will provide end-to-end support to the Polynesian Health Corridors programme to help deliver the objectives or the programme to Polynesian countries.
As Senior Advisor – Procurement and Contracts you will lead the procurement and contracting oversight with support from the Lead – Programme Management. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders, and your advice will enable the provision of senior leadership for the programme, including the relationship with Polynesian countries and counterparts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
This role is fixed term for 2 years and has a midpoint of $105,270, appointing salary dependent on individual skills and experience.

- Senior contract and procurement experience
- Tertiary qualification in programme management, financial management, or relevant fields
- Experience in machinery of government and in contract and procurement system and services
- Familiarity and experience with Polynesian countries' health and development issues and the connections to Pasifika communities in NZ
- Knowledge of international development, development programmes and principles
