The Gaming Grants Auditor will be reviewing gaming funds to make sure they comply with the Gambling Act. You’ll dive into financial records, spot issues, and help improve operations. TAB New Zealand is searching for a motivated Grants Auditor to be part of their Wellington team. This role is key to TAB NZ’s mission to secure essential funding for racing and sports across the country. As TAB NZ evolves in partnership with Entain, your contributions will help ensure that funding from class 4 gambling is handled responsibly and in line with all regulations.

As a Grants Auditor at TAB NZ, your primary responsibility will be to provide appropriate accountability audits of the net proceed returns made from class 4 gambling operations. You'll be tasked with planning and conducting audits, assessing compliance with relevant legislation, preparing detailed audit reports, and analysing financial data.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting audits and preparing detailed reports
  • Evaluating compliance with legislation and internal policies
  • Analyzing financial data to spot discrepancies and improvement areas
  • Supporting the grant process by assessing applications
  • Offering advice on best practices for compliance and efficiency

The ideal candidate will enjoy problem-solving, collaborating with others, and working in a dynamic environment where they are willing to help out in other areas when needed.

Key requirements are:

  • Relevant experience in either accounting, internal or external auditing, compliance assurance
  • A knack for teamwork and problem-solving
  • Proficiency in using databases and spreadsheets
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
