Kaiawhina/Therapist
Korowai Tumanako
Korowai Tūmanako is seeking Kaiawhina (part-time or full-time) to work with adults and/or mokopuna as required - who have a passion for the wellbeing of whānau - for our growing service - based either in Tamaki Makaurau or Te Tai Tokerau. Hours negotiable.
The successful applicant(s) will have the following attributes, skills and experience:
- Whakapapa ki ngā hapu o Aotearoa – we encourage the strengthening of identity and will support you to grow in knowledge of ‘te reo me ona tikanga’
- Be a passionate advocate for the safety and well-being of whanau
- Have proven experience and skills working for the wellbeing of whanau and willing to learn. A recognised qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, social work or aligned disciplines is an advantage
- Have a strong work ethic, able to self-manage, work independently and also contribute positively in a team; willing to learn from others and share own mātauranga.
- Must have competent written skills. Familiarity with MS Office required and database experience an advantage
- Must hold a full drivers’ licence
