About the role - Mō te turanga mahi
This is an exciting role for someone who is currently doing payroll administration and wants to branch out into people and culture work to complement their growing skillset. The role takes care of our day to day payroll work but also supports learning and development, people queries, ad hoc projects and employee relations. Note: this role is a fixed-term parental leave cover from November 2024 to November 2025.
In this role you will:
- Manage the fortnightly payroll processing in partnership with our provider, Datacom.
- Manage first-line employee queries through our centralised inbox.
- Own the people system, ensuring records are kept accurate and up to date.
- Support the team with the implementation of key initiatives across a range of areas such as learning & development, wellbeing, engagement, remuneration and recruitment.
What you’ll need to succeed - Ngā wahanga matua o te turanga
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Previous payroll processing experience and can pick this up with ease.
- Demonstrated excellent attention-to-detail and problem-solving.
- Foundational HR knowledge and wants to shift into the generalist HR space.
- Considerable drive, energy, and a sense of urgency.
- A positive learning mindset.
