Mō te Pakihi | About the Organisation:

Te Māngai Pāho is the Crown entity responsible for funding media and content to promote Māori language and culture.  Their aim is to whakanui i te reo Māori and Māori culture so that te reo Māori and tikanga Māori are spoken, heard, seen and valued. In July this year, Te Māngai Pāho celebrated 30 years of te reo Māori creativity, innovation and excellence in the Māori broadcasting sector.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role:

Working closely with the Hautū Te Hiringa, the Kaitātari Te Hiringa is responsible for providing accurate data analysis and insightful reporting. You will bring together all streams of data collection and be able to enhance and recommend technology, systems and processes to support this, in turn enabling the organisation to understand their impacts on te reo Māori revitalisation and culture promotion. You will also manage data and research initiatives, provide strategic advice, collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Your expertise will support key reports and help inform strategic decision-making.

This is a full time, permanent role with preference to being based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara.

Mōu | About You:

You will have experience in data analysis and providing insights based on this analysis. With your excellent communication skills, written, verbal and visual, you will tell the story of the data to technical and non-technical people alike, translating these into clear actionable insights.  You should be adaptable and strategic, with a proven ability to manage projects effectively and build collaborative relationships across teams and stakeholders.

An understanding of te ao Māori is needed and a high proficiency in data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI is preferred. A relevant qualification and an understanding of the machinery of government along with experience working with government entities would be beneficial.
