About the role:

Lead and develop the nurse team at our four busy, family friendly, Medical Clinics  that provide General Practice services in the Waikato. Create a culture of excellence and team-work, delivering outstanding patient care. This role works closely with the Practice Manager and General Manager Clinical Services and is responsible for the teams at our four Medical Clinics in Hamilton, Huntly and Ngaruawahia. 

  • General Practice 5-days per week (Mon-Fri)
  • Permanent Full Time Role
  • Waikato Location with movement to support nurses in all four Medical Clinics.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Recent experience in primary care 
  • Sound clinical knowledge, assessment and care planning and management competencies
  • Interest in quality improvement systems and processes
  • Experience and interest in coaching, teaching, and leading nurses
  • Great communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Familiarity of Te Reo Maaori and Tikanga Maaori is an advantage.

It is mandatory for you to have the following:

  • Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand/Aotearoa (citizen, work Visa or NZ Residency)
  • Full driver’s license
