This role is responsible for utilising our current, and researching new, search systems and processes and leveraging cultural understanding and networks to identify and engage exceptional te ao Maori talent, fostering inclusivity and driving organisational success through diverse perspective and expertise.
With a focus on developing datasets using job families and reflecting the Māori labour market, you will develop and care for our database to support the Tau Mai team to bring our positioning statement of Tupuranga Mahi Māori / Raising Māori Employment to life. Additionally, the role supports the Tau Mai Consulting Team to achieve their targets and goals as well as supporting their administrative and associated project management tasks.
Mōu | About You:
The role requires an ability to understand the areas of a candidate’s capability, their cultural drivers and motivations, and their career aspirations. You will play a key role in linking the Tau Mai Consulting Team with Māori talent in the market.
Alongside the Consulting Team you will work with employers to gain a deep understanding of their organisation, its purpose, and the specific requirements they have to attract, hire and retain suitably qualified and experienced candidates operating within te ao Māori.
Your skills and experience will include:
- Strong connections with the Māori community and te ao Māori
- Passion for and commitment to the use of te reo Māori me ona tikanga including manaakitanga and whakawhanaungatanga
- Great relationship management and collaboration focus
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and an active listener
- Credibility engaging with all levels of candidates, clients and stakeholders
- Problem solver – creative approach and analytical, conceptual thinking
- Curious mind when it comes to technology and AI and its impact
