Maurea Consulting is an Auckland-based Māori-owned organisation that has a vision to see Māori culture drive Aotearoa forward. Our mission is to ignite a passion in all New Zealanders to learn, understand and fall in love with Māori culture, and we believe that within Māori culture lies solutions to many of the difficult challenges that face the world. Over the last seven years, Maurea has been supporting people and organisations to develop their Māori Cultural Competency through our highly acclaimed Te Kaa – Igniting your Māori Cultural Competency training programme. Maurea is increasingly supporting organisations to embed te ao Māori into their thinking; and is proud of the role we are playing to create positive change for Māori and all New Zealanders.
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
As a result of our growth, we are now seeking to appoint a Head of Training. Reporting directly to our Chief Executive, you will be a key part of the leadership team that is driving our strategy forward. You will lead our training team and oversee delivery, continuous improvement, expansion and innovation of our programmes. We are a deeply values based organisation, with Manaakitanga at the heart of everything that we do.
Ko wai koe| About you
As our Head of Training you will embody our Maurea values of Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga, Whanaungatanga, Tino Rangatiratanga and Ako. You will have a strong grounding in te ao Māori, and be a speaker of te reo. Experience in leading and growing a team, an understanding of learning and development, and a passion for client service will see you succeed. As a leader in a small, fast growing business commercial acumen is essential, as is a willingness to be hands on and do whatever it takes. This is a full time role based in our Glen Innes office, however some flexibility can be discussed.
