Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

The Associate Professor/Professor of Strategic Management role provides academic leadership by demonstrating excellence in teaching, research and postgraduate supervision with specific expertise in Sustainability and Responsible management. These positions will participate in academic policy-making and setting appropriate standards of scholarship. A core responsibility will also be to advance research capacity, develop strategic cross and inter-disciplinary research initiatives, engage with the business community, and contribute to leadership development.

You will have a PhD in a relevant discipline with broad and in-depth knowledge of discipline areas that are relevant to Sustainability with the ability to teach in the area of Strategic Management. For the position of Associate Professor you are expected to have a research and scholarship record of excellence at a national and international level, along with demonstrated excellence in teaching and successful postgraduate supervision experience. In addition you will have proven ability to provide academic leadership and mentoring and/or success in attracting external research funding. For the position of Professor you are expected to have a research and scholarship record of sustained excellence at a national and international level, demonstrated excellence in teaching and successful postgraduate supervision experience are essential. Further you will have proven ability to successfully provide academic leadership and mentoring, had success in attracting external research funding, and can engage effectively with colleagues, students and external stakeholders.

Current salary range for Associate Professors is from $132,540 to $146,190 and for Professors from $148,920 and above per year, salary will dependent on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
