Atu mo te mahi - About the role

The role of Clinical Practice Manager is to focus on coordinating efforts across three clinical teams of nurses and paramedics who are delivering telehealth services to the people of Aotearoa: Healthline, ambulance secondary triage and a range of clinical support services for the wider health system ensuring that clinical quality programmes and opportunities for improvement are delivered effectively to our clinical teams.

The key outcomes for this newly created position include using data to provide clear guidance and support for clinical service delivery; continuous service quality improvement and driving collaborative clinical excellence across the teams and directorates.

This is an exciting, newly established permanent position, preferably based in our College Hill office in Auckland, and offers a hybrid work environment of office and work from home options.

Pehea koe - About you

As the successful candidate you will have a clear understanding of quality systems and the role of quality in clinical service delivery, and be skilled in supporting and engaging our service managers and front-line clinical staff in service quality improvement programmes. You will be confident in holding coaching and clinical performance conversations, and knowledgeable in support frameworks and legislative requirements relevant to our front-line clinical teams. You will be confident in using technology and in using data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications and experience desired include the following:

  • Current health clinical registration
  • Five or more years' management experience in a clinical setting
  • Experience in quality cycles and continuous improvement
  • Two or more years' experience in coaching and developing clinical staff with a wide range of learning styles,
  • Ideally, experience within a telehealth or health technology organisation
