We have exciting opportunities for Qualification System Product Analysts to join the start-up team at Waihanga Ara Rau, the Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council (WDC). As the voice of industry, we provide businesses and employers with greater leadership over workforce development and vocational education and training so they can get the right people, with the right skills, at the right time.

Our WDC’s key functions include setting standards, developing qualifications and helping to shape curriculum to meet the current and future needs of the Construction and Infrastructure industries.

These are permanent roles and can be based in our Wellington or Auckland offices or in remote locations.

Ngā Pūkenga me nga whēako tino nu - Skills/experiences for the role

You may have experience working in education or have the relevant transferable skills (excellent listening, analytical, writing, project management and relationship management capabilities).

In this role you will need to analyse concepts and ideas, apply critical thinking skills and deliver great solutions. You will be comfortable finding the bigger picture inside the details, asking the right questions to fully understand what is required and summarising complex discussions.

This is a great role to apply your existing skills in building relationships as developing and maintaining strong relationships and engaging, facilitating, and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders are key parts of this role

Waihanga Ara Rau supports the very diverse construction and infrastructure industries; you are likely to work on projects from we work with stonemasonry to telecommunications (and everything in between) so a sense of curiosity is essential and an interest in these trades is ideal.

Technical competency developing NZQA products such as qualifications and standards would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
