Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role:

The Engineer to the Contract (EtC) Panel is an independent and public list of approved EtCs who are appointed through a cross-stakeholder evaluation process and have the skills, experience and mana to be highly effective in the role. Te Ao Rangahau Engineering New Zealand, under the guidance of a Steering Group of industry leaders, has designed the framework for the Panel. 

The Panel Coordinator role is a twelve-month fixed-term position. You will report to the Steering Group to manage and administer the Panel in its first year of operations.

The Panel Coordinator will be the contact point between the public, panel and steering group. 

Key Accountabilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Panel members and the Steering Group 
  • Organise induction hui for Panel members
  • Coordinate and support Panel members in the development of educational, training and support materials, including resources for aspiring EtCs 
  • Respond to enquiries from the public
  • Regular reporting to MBIE 
  • Work with the Steering Group to develop a proposal for the future financial model of the Panel
  • Conduct and deliver to MBIE an operational review of the Panel after its first six months.
Ngā tino Pūkenga/Whēako – Desired skills and experience:
  • Some knowledge of construction projects and familiarity with NZS 3910
  • Demonstrated experience in a coordinator role or administration of an expert panel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
