The Information Technology Services (ITS) team is responsible for the University's core ICT infrastructure, systems and services, and is looking to increase its capability to deliver an extensive programme of work that drives efficiency, is innovative and leverages emerging technologies, reduces risk, and supports future growth.

The Programme and Commercial team within ITS is responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of efficient and effective business solutions that support the teaching, learning, research and administrative functions of our University and enhances the student experience.

Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our skilled and dedicated team of IT professionals within the Programme & Commercial team. This role will work closely with the PMO Lead and Programme Managers to deliver the ICT Programme of Work.

This team provides advanced project delivery that enable our clients to better serve their internal and external clients.

Ko wai koe? - Who are you?

You will have proven experience in an IT project management role within a multifunctional organisation and familiarity with the higher education environment would be an advantage. You will have a demonstrated ability to lead, manage and coordinate your own and others' efforts to meet challenging deadlines toward the successful achievement of shared goals.

An essential requirement will be your experience with financial management processes and budget maintenance within projects and the ability to build strong relationships at all business levels and being self-disciplined with strong organisational and planning skills. You will also possess proven experience in mentoring and coaching more junior project managers in the best practices of project management.

You will have a formal project management qualification and preferably a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
