Senior Portfolio Manager, National Bowel Screening Programme

We are looking for an energised and motivated individual to join the National Bowel Screening Programme (NBSP) team in the role of Senior Portfolio Manager.

The NBSP team is responsible for the planning and oversight of delivery of the National Bowel Screening Programme and is part of the National Screening Unit.

The key responsibility for this role is to provide consistently high-quality business advice and contract management for the NBSP. The Senior Portfolio Manager is responsible for negotiating and managing contracts and relationships with providers. This includes monitoring, evaluation and reporting on performance, as well as providing feedback to providers. The salary range for this role is $98,376to $131,168 and will be appointed in alignment with skills and experience.

To be successful in this role you'll need:

  • skills in relationship management
  • experience in contract management
  • operational understanding of DHBs
  • agility, strategic thinking and problem solving experience
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • understanding of how to reduce disparities and how to improve Maori health outcomes.

Previous experience with contract management/service review would be an advantage.
