The Property Services team manages the University's corporate estates portfolio, and helps create an environment which strongly supports the operational and strategic goals of the University.

This is an opportunity to be part of something that not only supports and lifts our University, but has an impact globally. Everything that we can do to support our environment helps!

The Energy Graduate role is offered in partnership with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA).

You will play an integral role in assisting the University in reaching its energy efficiency and carbon reduction goals by demonstrating the following:

  • Improving data analytics
  • Identifying key projects that will deliver energy savings and GHG emissions reductions
  • Supporting asset management by updating utility records and service plans for staff and contractor use

It is expected that within the two-year term, specific deliverables will be achieved; including: developing a work plan to deliver reductions, confirming a baseline to measure your success, and quarterly and annual reporting of progress.

Please note: The University has decided that, from 14 February 2022, all staff working on or entering any of its campuses or sites must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You will be required to provide proof of vaccination before 14 February for this role.

Passionate about, and committed to making a difference to the environment, you will thrive in a complex organisation and be motivated and excited by change.

The successful person for this role will need to tick these boxes:

  • Recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering, energy science, building services
  • Experience using GIS and/or AutoCAD software
  • Previous experience working in a facilities or construction related environment would be advantageous
