The Pūhoro Charitable Trust (PCT) improves Māori science, technology, engineering, mathematics and mātauranga (STEMM) capability. We are seeking to appoint two new roles within the South Auckland rohe based out of Manukau. The following advertisement is for two Te Urunga Tū Kaihautū to assist in the delivery of the Pūhoro STEMM kaupapa in the South Auckland region alongside the Regional Lead Kaihautū. We are looking to appoint these individuals in early 2022 so will work to assess applications as we receive them.
This position will report to the Mana Urunga Tū (Manager) and work alongside the Regional Lead Kaihautū in South Auckland. You will be part of a high performance team who will support rangatahi to achieve their aspirations. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a wider team, working closely with rangatahi, whānau, secondary schools, tertiary institution staff and STEMM industry stakeholders as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A minimum of an undergraduate qualification in the sciences or Māori development
• Proficiency in Te Reo me ngā tikanga Māori is desirable but not a requirement for this role
• Proven experience in working with rangatahi Māori and whānau
