As a CSR at the Ministry of Social Development, puts you at the forefront of people’s lives. Our clients need highly empathetic people to help them navigate a range of issues to make a real difference in their lives. You will be responsible for responding appropriately to emergency situations and having the authority to approve immediate financial assistance to client hardship.

Hours of work – Full-time (37.55 hours per week)

The current Contact Centre’s hours of operation are:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 7.00am to 6.15pm, and
  • Saturdays, 8.00am to 2.00pm. (Saturday’s are currently rotational, and you will only work one Saturday every few weeks).

 We work on a no surprises basis and will ensure that you will know your scheduled shifts well in advance.

Key recruitment process information

Salary starts $53,502.00 per annum.

  • Candidates must hold NZ Citizenship or a Permanent Resident visa at time of application.
