As the Midlands Regional Manager, you’ll be creating a world class, whole of life service with responsibility for team and stakeholder leadership, business management, supporting strategic objectives and developing an expert workforce who embrace technology, research & development, and ensure equity in service delivery.

The Midlands Regional Manager will support Peke Waihanga’s strategic objectives through:

  • Te ratonga/Service – providing patient-centred services
  • Te Hunga Mahi Ma-tanga/Expert Workforce – leadership skills, a strong health service orientation and the ability to foster and cultivate business opportunities and partnerships
  • Te Hangarau, te Rangahau me te Whakawhanaketanga/R&D/Technology – a passion for embracing technology and research to enhance patients’ experience and continually improve processes and standards to gain operational efficiencies
  • Te tokeke/Equity – striving to understand patients’ needs and providing practical solutions that create equitable outcomes; including optimising service delivery by running an effective regional clinic programme that maximises service accessibility and participation for all patients, including Māori and Pacific Islanders.
  • Te Whakahaere Mahi Tahitanga/Relationship management - building effective and long-lasting relationships that provide a better continuum of care for patients, and provide a co-ordinated, ‘whole of life’ service linking medical specialists, technicians, prosthetist/orthotists, physiotherapists, nurses,  peer support volunteers and external health providers.
