The Management Support Administrator is part of the Corporate Services Business Support Team and is embedded within Information Technology Services (ITS). ITS is responsible for the University's core ICT infrastructure, systems and services. This position provides dedicated support to the Chief Information Officer and senior management team, as well as general administrative support to the wider Information Technology Services team to ensure the efficient operation of the ITS office.

Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

We are seeking a motivated and well-organised person to provide efficient, high quality administrative support to the Chief Information Officer and the management team. Engaging with various stakeholders across the University on behalf of the CIO means you will need to have excellent communication and relationship management skills.

This is a dynamic role that will have multiple demands on your time, including keeping across what's on the CIO's to do list and anticipating what's needed to ensure success. The perks of supporting the CIO is you will have exposure to a variety of activities which includes the overall smooth running of the whole operation. You will have effective problem-solving skills and be able to demonstrate sound judgement and discretion in your interactions.

You are highly organised, able to multi-task and approach your work with high energy and self-motivation. Attention to detail and prioritisation are key to this role and you will have demonstrable skills and experience in both. You are a person who gets on with things and loves to help people, whether it be your peers, your leaders, students or stakeholders.

You will also have the following:

  • Previous experience in a senior administrative support role focused on executive/management support (three to five years)
  • Tertiary study in business administration or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven knowledge of PCs and computing systems in a business environment
  • Familiarity with financial processes
  • Full, clean NZ driver's licence

The salary for this position is in the range of $61,698 to $74,256 per year depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
