Pūhoro Charitable Trust
The Pūhoro Charitable Trust (PCT) improves Māori science, technology, engineering, mathematics and mātauranga (STEMM) capability. We are seeking to appoint one new role within the Waikato rohe based out of the University of Waikato. The following advertisement is for a Te Urunga Tū Kaihautū to lead and assist in the delivery of the Pūhoro STEMM kaupapa in the Waikato region. We have recently partnered with the University of Waikato Faculty of Computing and Mathematical Sciences to support in the delivery of Pūhoro in this region.
This position will report to the Mana Urunga Tū (Manager). You will be part of a high performance team who will support rangatahi to achieve their aspirations. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a wider team, working closely with rangatahi, whānau, secondary schools, tertiary institution staff at the University of Waikato and STEMM industry stakeholders as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A minimum of an undergraduate qualification in the Computer sciences, sciences or Māori development
• Proficiency in te reo me ngā tikanga Māori is a requirement of this role
• Proven experience in working with rangatahi Māori and whānau
