Our Ika (Inshore) operations are focused on premium kai moana. Right from the time of catch, up until the time of dispatch, we have processes and systems in place to ensure our premium fish remain in prime condition until it reaches our customers across Aotearoa and internationally.

He aha tāu e mahi ana | What You’ll Be doing:

Reporting to the General Manager, Inshore, this fixed term opportunity has become available due to a recent secondment within the Inshore team. The Operations Administrator is a pivotal role and is integral to the coordination and delivery of activities that ensure the effective and efficient management of the Inshore division, under the direction of the GM and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Building strong working relationships with other Operation Administrators across the group and the EA to the CEO, to collectively ensure a high performing group office, with cross functional support and backup provided as required. You will thrive in a busy role, managing multiple priorities, and being a key interface to the business.

No day is the same at Moana, so be prepared to be on the go, juggle multiple priorities and  collaborate with a wide variety of people. As a doer, no job will be too small or big and you will be comfortable working both autonomously and in a team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Personal Assistant support activities for the GM to ensure smooth workflow, continuity and continuous improvement-streamlining of processes to drive efficiencies
  • Work closely with the Inshore Leadership Team (SLT) – coordinate meetings, provide  administration  support, and harmonise workflows 
  • Project coordination
  • Key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Setting up and/or implementing systems, and processes
  • Continuous improvement 
  • Reception and administration across group functions,
  • Back up support to Fisher Payments Administrator 

You will join a hard-working team where your support is highly valued, along with your natural ability to remain calm under pressure, troubleshoot issues and be a solution provider.  Highly motivated, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong attention to detail and a ‘can do attitude’ are essential. 

What You Will Bring:

With a reputation as a professional, who possesses a high level of integrity, and enthusiasm, you will be super organised, and have a natural ability to build credible and trusted relationships at all levels.

You will be an accomplished personal assistant and administrator who has proven experience supporting a variety of managers and a flair for seamlessly managing conflicting and changing priorities. You must be able to demonstrate the value you have add in roles and your ability to think on your feet and pick up and apply new skills quickly and effectively.

Ideally you will have a background in FMCG, manufacturing or supply chain, working in multi-site environments with people at all levels of the organisation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of expertise using the Microsoft suite; Word, PowerPoint & Excel is essential.
