He kōrero mō te tūranga - The role

You will provide support to people with mental health challenges within our three residential recovery services in the Whangarei area. You'll be working with clients on their recovery journey, providing a safe environment for our clients and supporting them with their goals and daily tasks. Joining our multi-disciplined team, you'll be working in a positive environment on a casual basis, as and when required. This is a great opportunity to work flexibly - you decide which shifts you would like to work.

You will work closely with colleagues, community providers, clinical teams and other external stakeholders to help achieve the best outcomes for tangata whaiora. Duties in this role can also include updating records, medication support, maintaining hygiene standards in the service and administration duties.

He kōrero mōu - About you

Ideally have a Level 4 Health and Wellbeing Qualification (or equivalent/above) and experience working in the health sector, preferably in a residential mental health respite setting.

We are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, vibrant, confident and compassionate. You'll naturally be a problem solver, quick thinker and enjoy connecting with the community.

You'll use your non-judgmental attitude and belief to encourage clients to change and grow. You will also bring the following:

  • A full New Zealand driver's licence
  • Strong computer skills
  • A positive focus and outlook
  • The flexibility to work on a roster as the service provide support to our clients 24 hours seven days a week
