The University of Waikato’s Student Management System (SMS) - SITS:Vision - provides a fully functioning student and staff portal and includes online services from initial enquiry through to graduation.

Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

We are seeking three enthusiastic graduates or experienced Technical Analysts with good analytical and problem-solving skills, who enjoy working with both systems and people to join our thriving SMS team.

Working as part of a multi-functional team you will be involved in designing, developing, testing and documenting system configuration. You will be actively involved in identifying and diagnosing problems, bug fixes and enhancements and providing advice and solutions. You will also participate in the development of user guides and online assistance.

Ko wai koe? - Who are you?

You will have an appropriate tertiary qualification along with a good understanding of information systems and software development. In addition, you will be flexible and adaptable and willing to work collegially in a team environment. Familiarity with SQL, HTML, CSS, the development life cycle and ability to document solutions will be an advantage.

You will also have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to work flexibly and positively in a rapidly changing environment.

Our University provides a unique and satisfying work environment with many benefits to our staff including study opportunities, generous superannuation and leave provisions.

Salary will be in the range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.

The fixed-term positions are full time 37.5 hours per week until December 2022.
