The School of Psychology offers a range of specialisations within psychology at graduate level, including programmes which lead to registration as a psychologist. It enables students to study Psychology with flexibility to tailor learning and qualifications to suit individual needs.
The School of Psychology offers a vibrant and dynamic research environment. Our team of 20 academic staff specialise in areas as diverse as environmental psychology, clinical psychology, social and organisational psychology, community and health psychology, kaupapa Māori psychology as well as cognitive and developmental psychology.
Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are seeking a continuing, full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join our clinical psychology programme. This role will involve teaching into the post-graduate clinical psychology courses as well as relevant under-graduate teaching, and the development of a research programme and supervision of research students. The specific research area within clinical psychology is flexible. The applicant is encouraged to think about how their research would align with or extend the existing research strengths in the School.

Ko wai koe? - Who are you?
You will need to have a PhD or doctoral qualification in Psychology/Clinical Psychology. Additionally, you will also have the following:
- Proven expertise in clinical psychology
- Registration, or eligibility for registration, with the NZ Psychologists Board as a registered clinical psychologist
- Evidence of ability to conduct and publish quality research
- Prior proven teaching skills at a tertiary level
- Good organisation, administration and interpersonal skills

The Lecturer salary range is $79,337 to $95,551 per year, and the Senior Lecturer range is $98,280 to $129,402 per year. The salary will be commensurate with the level of appointment.
