Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

Our purpose is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of our community through an accessible and integrated primary mental health service. To support this direction, we are investing in enhancing our primary mental health and wellbeing response with the Te Tumu Waiora model of care.

Te Tumu Waiora is the culmination of work developed by a group of providers and consumers in the North Island and adopted by the Ministry of Health to be rolled out across selected general practice site in New Zealand over the next few years.

Based on international evidence and local co-design, the new model of care provides rapid, targeted brief intervention to people who are experiencing mental distress or who need behavioural advice and support.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly configured team to support the introduction of Te Tumu Waiora across the Nelson Marlborough district.

This role will provide project leadership and management support on the initiation, planning, establishment, monitoring and execution of the integrated primary mental health and addiction service, Te Tumu Wāiora across the Nelson Marlborough Health district.

This fixed-term position, working 40 hours a fortnight (0.5 FTE), will need to establish the framework, systems and processes for the staged roll-out and ongoing operations of the programme across selected sites.
