Are you seeking that role with real impact and meaning? Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and equity focussed data analyst to join Te Poutokomanawa (Māori Health Directorate) - a team who are passionate about improving Māori Health within Te Tai Tokerau.
Reporting to the Kaiwhakahaere Rautaki (Manager - Population Health & Strategy), Te Poutokomanawa, you will enjoy a varied and sometimes challenging workload, including providing health system information that directs equity intervention, Māori Health planning processes that are meaningful for Māori, monitoring and evaluation processes through the provision of information, and quality improvement initiatives and processes.
To be successful in this role you will be 100% committed to eliminating inequities and achieving the best outcomes for Māori. You will also:
- hold a tertiary degree in statistics, epidemiology, or data analytics
- have experience in the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate tools (R, SPSS, STATA or SAS, NVivo etc)
- the ability to present data (using data visualisation techniques) that supports decision-making
- evidence of summarising report findings; and
- experience in the practical implementation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in a health setting
